Who We Are

James Arthur, Principal Consultant

James brings over fifteen years of retail technology development, consulting, and financing experience to Retail Analytic Professionals. Most recently, he served as Director of Global Retail Industry Strategy for MapInfo, now Pitney Bowes Business Insight.  Previously he was Vice President, Chief Operating Office of Market Insite Group with responsibility for product management and operations.  While at Market Insite Group, Mr. Arthur helped launch the innovative Comparable Shopping Center search product which gave clients the ability to conduct analog searches comparing and matching a base location to shopping centers nation-wide.  Mr. Arthur was also involved in numerous developer feasibility studies as well as retailer customer profiling and site analysis studies.  Mr. Arthur’s prior experience includes roles at Marcus & Millichap, with responsibility for business development and deal analysis for Marcus & Millichap Venture Partners and as Vice President of Real Estate Finance for The Capital Company of America, a CMBS spin-off of Nomura Securities. He holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and a BA from Pitzer College in Claremont, California.
